The Get ODP (Get Outdoors Project) is about doing all the hardcore outdoor activities of this world with other solid believers. The ODP enjoys God’s creation while operating weekend and overnight outdoor trips such as cycling, rock climbing, trail rides, canoeing, hiking, etc. for young adults 18 and up.

We believe that by being outdoors, providing exciting activities, and taking a slight step outside of our comfort zone, we will build relationships with each other and with our God.

ODP – Hill Country State Natural Area

Hill Country State Natural Area is a hidden 5,000 acre gem on the site of a former hill country ranch. We’ll be hitting the trails, scrambling the hills, and checking out the wildlife. Expect lots of hiking, photo ops, games, Devos/Bible study, and campsite church on Sunday! We’re all set with several excellent campsites for this one.

1) Register on Camp’s website! We’re expecting a great turnout, so lock in your spot! You can ignore the insurance information from Camp’s standard registration. Just make sure you sign the waiver!
2) Cost is $55. The price gets you two nights, food, fresh ODP swag, fellowship, and adventure! Bring some cash for gas for your driver and plan on buying a meal or two on the road.
3) We’ll organize a carpool from Camp. Let us know if you are willing to drive!
4) We’ve put tentative times down (depart Friday at 3pm and return Sunday at 3pm), but those can/will be flexible. Whenever people can show up Friday night after work to whenever we want to leave on Sunday will be the times.

What’s Next:
ODP Eclipse – Path of Totality II
Dates – April 8th, 2024
Cost – $30

ODP, this one is special. The path of totality for this year’s total solar eclipse – The Great North American Eclipse – will pass over the Texas hill country on April 8th. Join us in Georgetown to witness this once (well, twice) in a lifetime event!!

The trip is unique in a few ways:

1) This particular celestial event is on a Monday, so expect to take off work at least that day.
2) Massive traffic congestion is expected heading into and out from Central Texas. We will departing from Camp on Sunday night to stage in Georgetown for the eclipse. No guarantees yet on travel times or routing. We’ll be making adjustments on the fly. Our current intention is to return to Camp on Monday night, but it could be very late.
3) We’ll be generously hosted for this event at a Georgetown home. Expect a mixture of living room mattresses and backyard tents.
4) We’ll help source eclipse goggles as well as have the solar filter on our large telescope!
5) Space is very limited. Register on Camp’s website!
