Speaker Bio:
Steve was born in Northern Ireland, but moved to California when he was 4 years old. He came to Christ in high school where he was very involved in soccer. God used soccer in Steve’s life to teach him many valuable lessons, and allowed him to see several teammates come to Christ. He met Vicky at Hillview Bible Chapel in Cupertino, Ca, and has been happily married to her for 38 years. They have two grown children, Eric and Suzanne. Steve was asked to leave his job in the finance world in 2000, and dedicate his full attention to the work of the Lord at Hillview. He served as an elder at Hillview for 25 years, where he was involved in high school ministry for 17 years and college ministry for over 10 years. He also has a passion for shepherding, counseling and discipleship. In 2021, the Lord called Steve and Vicky to leave California and relocate to Lubbock, Texas, where Steve helps administrate and teach at the Discipleship Intern Training Program.
